Ottawa University has a housing policy and all students are required to meet specific requirements in order to live off campus. The full policy is located in the Student Handbook; general requirements include:

Married;
Has dependent children as defined by Federal Regulations;
21 years of age by August 1 (fall) or January 1 (spring);
Has lived in Ottawa University-sponsored housing for 6 or more semesters (fall or spring);
Lives with a parents and/or legal guardian in the following cites/towns in AZ: Avondale, Buckeye, El Mirage, Glendale, Goodyear, Litchfield Park, Peoria, Sun City, Tolleson, Waddell, Whitman, and Youngstown
